Sound designers and sound artists Ramon De Marco and Peter Philippe Weiss and the painter and light artist Heinz Schäublin realised a large sensual environment in the former water filter building Filter4 of IWB Basel. In the 600 square meter columned hall they built a surreal parallel universe. The visitors move on the filter sand floor through an irritating and fascinating space with light and sound objects above and below the ground. It is an immersive atmosphere and a surreal dream world. The sounds are played from a multi channel sound system which is installed and buried in the sand. This evokes a taktile acoustic sensual experience through feet, body and ears.
